Terms and Conditions
These apply to all properties and are
intended to be helpful to both parties
1 - HIRE TERMS Terms are per week or for agreed short
break for the property equipped and described as stated.
2 - INITIAL PAYMENT This must be sent at the time of booking
either by cheque with the booking form or via Paypal to
Carefree Holidays. Details will be supplied but do not send
cash through the post.
3 - BALANCE OUTSTANDING The balance of monies due are
payable by you before/on the date notified on your receipt – 6
WEEKS before the start of your holiday. Bookings made within
six weeks of your holiday start date must be paid in full when
making your booking.
4 - IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL If unfortunately you need to
cancel your holiday you must notify us IMMEDIATELY by
telephone followed by written confirmation by 1st class mail.
We will endeavour to re-let the property. You will remain
responsible for prompt payment of balance unless notice of
cancellation is received at least 42 days before the start date
of your holiday. We do not make a compulsory Holiday
Cancellation Insurance charge, but would strongly advise
clients to consider this option or take out their own cover.
5 - ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE Unless stated otherwise
occupation time is 2:00 p.m. on the hire start date subject to
unavoidable delays. The property must be vacated by 10:00
am on the final day of hire and left in a clean condition.
6 - MINORS Bookings from persons under 18 years cannot be
accepted.
7 - NUMBER OF PERSONS The maximum number of
persons allowed is shown on the individual holiday home
description particulars. If the party exceeds the number on the
Booking Form we reserve the right to terminate the hire
without notice and without refund for breach of this condition.
8 - RESPONSIBILITY OF HIRER The person making the
booking (the lead person named) is and will remain
responsible for the members of his/her party and should
ensure that they are aware of the Booking Conditions and that
they will meet the obligations arising therefrom in every way.
The hirer is responsible for the property and its equipment
during the period of hire and is expected to take all reasonable
care of it. The hirer undertakes to report and pay for any
damage caused to the holiday home or equipment lost,
damaged, or broken during their occupancy of the holiday
home. This must be reported before you leave for home as we
need to ensure the property is complete for the next visitors.
Do not replace things yourselves without first discussing this
with the owner. All the equipment, utensils etc must be left in a
clean condition at the end of the time of the occupancy. (The
caretaker will report items missing from the inventory and the
hirer will be held responsible for the cost of their replacement.)
9 - HIRER’S PROPERTY We do not accept liability for loss of
or damage to personal effects, belongings (including mobile
phones, tablets etc), motor car or car accessories or any other
items belonging to the hirer’s party.
10 - PETS We do allow well behaved pets in our properties
but this can only be by prior arrangement and a small
additional fee is payable. Pets are not allowed on beds/chairs
and must not be left unattended in the holiday home. Pets
must be exercised on a lead and are not allowed in central
areas of the complex including shop, club, gym or pool areas.
11 - DISPUTES Any dispute, difference or question which may
arise at any time out of the contract or touching the subject
matter thereof must be referred to a single arbitrator to be
agreed upon between the parties.
12. - PLEASE NOTE - HIRE CHARGES DO NOT INCLUDE
ANY PENSTOWE FACILITIES AT THE PRESENT TIME.
We have taken every effort to ensure that each property
description contained in our brochures and this web site is
correct. We reserve the right to make modifications to the
property specification that are considered necessary in the
light of operating requirements. In the interest of continual
improvements the right is reserved to alter or remove furniture,
fittings, amenities or facilities without prior notice but any major
changes (if required) will be notified prior to occupation.
